When Paul was accepted into the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University in the 1970s, he aspired to become an oncologist. His trajectory changed unexpectedly with a cancer diagnosis. Traditional treatments were not advised, which led him to explore complementary medicine. So began his journey into studying and training in multiple disciplines rooted in European Functional Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. After overcoming the cancer diagnosis, he overcame two other cancers. This naturally led to him helping others with chronic illness. Parallel to this he passionately pursued independent research into Cancer and other chronic illnesses. The inspiration for the GEOSHIELD Sleep mat comes from over 30 years working in the private sector, devising protocols, for people challenged with symptoms associated with chronic illnesses. He observed a distinct pattern: when people are exposed to negative earth rays during sleep, their capacity to respond to therapy, be it conventional or complementary, is often compromised. This correlated with the observations made by European Functional medicine doctors. In his search for a sleep accessory that could shield a person from the harmful effects of Geopathic Stress, he discovered none existed. Thus, began a retirement project to create the GEOSHIELD Sleep mat in response to a growing need. His life's work culminates in an innovative solution that addresses an often-overlooked contributing factor to the growing epidemic of sleep disorders which adversely impacts every aspect of our lives.
